
Warranty & Fees
Roy's Repair & Resale stands behind their repairs and offers a 90 day warranty on all repairs and refurbished consoles from the date of purchase. This warranty will cover the following:
Repairs - The warranty will cover only the component that was repaired (example - HDMI port repair no longer displaying.) Please note the warranty will not cover user error, drop damage, or any other type of outside influence that would cause an issue with the component. This warranty is for defect of repair only. The warranty will cover a repair of the issue only at no cost. Please note a warranty repair does not extend the original warranty, it is simply a repair covered by the original warranty. This warranty will be void if the console has been tampered with in any way after the date of repair. Proof of defect will be required to have your warranty claim honored (example - video of no display, pictures of damage, etc.) and will need to be submitted by text or email prior to getting the warranty repair approved. Once your warranty has been approved, I will reach out by text or email to schedule an appointment to complete the warranty repair.
Refurbished Consoles- This warranty will cover a repair of a console that has been purchased from Roy's Repair and Resale. This can include power issues, display issues, connectivity issues, or other defects within the console that can be determined to be caused by faulty hardware. This warranty will cover a repair of the console at no cost once the defect is confirmed. Please note the warranty does not cover user error, drop damage, or any other type of outside influence that would cause the console to not operate as intended. Please note a warranty repair does not extend the original warranty, it is simply a repair covered by the original warranty. This warranty will be void if the console has been tampered with in any way after the date of purchase. Proof of defect will be required to have your warranty claim honored (example - video of no display, pictures of damage, etc.) and will need to be submitted by text or email prior to getting the warranty repair approved. Fees Outside of Repair Costs
This list includes some of the fees that can come up during a repair. Please note that prior to any fees being assessed, you will receive documentation of the issue to confirm the reason the fees are being applied, and you will have the option to decline the repair if you do not wish to pay the fee.
Pest Fee
This is a $50 fee for bugs being found inside the console. This will be incurred whether or not the repair form is answered with yes or no, and is to cover the cost to sanitize both the console and the repair station.
Bench Fee
This is a $45 fee that will cover the time set aside for the repair in the event that the repairs are declined, or in the event that the console is marked as "Never Been Opened" on the repair form but is found to have previous repair work done upon arrival.
Cleaning Fee
This is an optional $40 fee that is separate from the Cleaning Service that is offered. This will be offered if the console is opened and determined that a cleaning may be needed, and is discounted from the typical Cleaning Service as the console will already be open when the issue is discovered. You will receive photos documenting the issue when the service is offered, and it is completely optional.
